All checked in, now just the waiting. I feel genuinely sad that this short adventure has come to an end. It’s been a really nice, relaxing day. Went to tourist information in town, then drove to the top of Coronet Peak for views, then to Glenorchy at the other end of the lake. Spectacular views along the way, then a great little, laid-back place. Wandered around, lunch outside at a lovely café, then sat under a tree and chatted. Steve came up with 2 promising limericks, which we’ve been working on all week. Eventually drove back to Queenstown and came up with the idea of “NRA solutions for everything”. Hilarious. Ingrown toenail? Cut off all your toes – you don’t need ’em to drive around all day in your pickup, shooting at things! NRA’s dream – every American child gets a gun at age 5 to take to school, so everyone could shoot back, just like in the wild west. Awesome! Would save lives! What could possibly go wrong?
Now I get to go home to Nadia and Cara. How fantastic, I can’t wait to see them. Whenever I see or hear a child here I think of our little munchkin.
